Designer Notes

This small kitchen makes use of a serene color palette, smart layout and beach-inspired materials to create a style that is bright and evokes the coast. White paneled cabinets with satin nickel hardware create a swath of lightness, and crown molding stretches to the ceiling to add height and the illusion of a taller ceiling. A peninsula defines the kitchen from a breakfast nook while also adding valuable countertop space for food prep and cooking. White appliances carry the cabinets' color palette across the room, offering an integrated look. A sand and water-inspired palette on the porcelain and glass tile backsplash is reminiscent of the sea while the eating area’s wall paint alludes to seafoam.
