There is a certain satisfaction one gets from cooking with a real flame, and a certain satisfaction one gets seeing actual heat as opposed to watching a circle turn really red. For those that crave the flame, a gas range will satiate your appetite to cook with fire. Of course, you'll need a gas supply line to make this type of range function. Most gas ranges can use either natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas.

Still, electric and induction ranges can bring the heat in a hurry, and for more casual cooks, an electric or induction range's safety features, smooth looks or lower price might be too appealing to pass up.
